It’s amazing not what someones words can do for you, not just anyone, but your own mom. I know my brother and I call our mom for anything. We call her for advice, we call her to vent, we call her to tell her our accomplishments, I call her for advice on clothing to wear that morning, I call her when I’m nervous to give a presentation. And she has words and words and words to say to you that make all of the difference in that day. My mothers words make more sense to me than any text book or anyone elses worlds in this world.

My mom is my Wonder woman, my dad is my Superman. I feel blessed that I can say that and it is the honest to god truth. Ma, I know I’m not organized, I’m not good at public speaking, I’m not good with my money, I’m not as smart as other kids and you struggle with me to keep me on top of my game. I know I have gotten into my fair share of trouble. I know I don’t make the best decisions in the world because I like a good adventure. I know I’m not good at a lot of things.

But you make me feel like I can face an army. I’ll get better with my money I promise. You make me feel like I shine like a new penny, and can work through my struggles. You love me regardless of the trouble I’ve been in, and will be the first to stand in front of me to fight off anyone on my case. You and Dad are my best friends, right next to my brother. You’ve created a family that in my eyes, shines like no other. You’re stronger than anyone I know. You teach me everyday.

Today, you told me to stop thinking I am inferior, and that all the work I do is superior. I am superb. Whatever you say, I believe. It’s been like that since I was old enough to talk. It always will be. You believe in me and every morning I am reminded of that.

I love you more than the world. I always always will. You say I am your light, but you most definitely are mine.
